RCGP Research Paper of the Year
Professor Carolyn Chew-Graham and Dr Joanne Protheroe were authors on a paper published in the BMJ in 2013 which won a category prize in the Royal College of General Practitioners 'Research Paper of the Year'.
The paper, 'Implementation of self management support for long term conditions in routine primary care settings: cluster randomised controlled trial', reported a trial of self management support for people with long term conditions in primary care. Barriers to the implementation of a complex intervention in primary care were highlighted.
The prize was presented at the RCGP conference a few weeks ago.
